Proc Spirit Tap after not killing anything

So, I was on my newly made priest, and I decided to pick up Jewel crafting. I had a bunch of rough stones in my bank so I made those little stone statues. I threw one down, healed me, and much to my surprise, after the statue disappeared, I got the talent buff Spirit Tap. When I checked in the combat log, it even showed that I actually gained the buff (Spirit Tap).

Hope this comes in handy!!

Learn Alliance Flight Path as Horde and vice versa

This trick requires a Priest and another character.
While fooling around yesterday, I found out that if you mind control the Alliance flight master in the Rebel Camp in Stranglethorn Vale, you can right-click him to learn his flight path even if you are horde.
Right-clicking him again presents you with the "You don't know any flight paths connected to this one" error message, so I assume you could use Alliance Flight paths as horde (and vice versa) using this technique.

TL;DR version:
  1. Mind control one of the susceptible flight master
  2. Right-click him while he is Mind Controlled
  3. You will learn the (opposing faction) flight path

List of flight masters that have been found susceptible to this:
  1. The Alliance Flight Master in Rebel Camp (Stranglethorn Vale)
  2. All Alliance and Horde Northrend Flightmasters

Get your Mr. Chilly pet.

Currently there is problem with the pet Mr. Chilly, which is supposed to be given to everyone, who merged his account with battle.net account. The problem is that a lot of players do not have the pet sent to them, even tho they have the accs merged. The fix is quite simple.

Go to battle.net and request a password change, as if you've forgotten your password. Now Change the pass (you will need to know the first and the second name of theaccount owner + the answer of the secret question).

When you login in game you will have your pet in the mail box

A Closer Look at New Zones in Cataclysm

I want to take a look at a few more detailed aspects of the new expansion, focusing most intently on the new zones being added to the game. We still don’t know all that much about the starting areas, except that they are being modeled in the same way after the progression instance style that Blizzard used in Wrath to such great effect.

So, we’ll skip over those for now (I’ll come back later, I promise – we are getting lots of good info out of the magazines right now on those very zones) and focus on the five new leveling zones being added to the game in Cataclysm. These five zones include a collection of very well known locations and new additions to the game that are promising to be huge and loaded with both leveling and end‐game content for the players already at Level 80 and not planning on rerolling, so they are going to be very central to the revamp. Here’s a look:

Deepholm

Deepholm is the last of the five new leveling zones in Azeroth and will be located beneath the Skywall. It is already being touted as one of the largest zones in the game and will feature a wide array of elementals as well as Trogg and Earthen mobs.

The zone is very underground in nature – with lots of tunnels and caves and multiple underground style enemies. The elemental plane will also be located here with multiple levels and numerous elementals (probably a top farming locale when we get there).

Deepholm will be where Deathwing breaks back through into Azeroth and will also be the home of the Temple of the Earth. It looks like, right now, that there will be a pair of airships in the area, similar to how they were in Icecrown.

Uldum

Uldum is the location that everyone has been wondering about behind those giant closed gates at the southern end of Tanaris. Finally being opened up, we find that the gates were blocking off an ancient Titan homeland where the “Ultimate Weapon” was being hidden. This land is said to be a desert much like tanaris and will be home to a very ancient Egypt style feel.

The main question everyone has is, how did they manage to hide Uldum all this time at the tip of the continent. The lore fix for that question is that the Titans used a cloaking device to hide it. We’ll see how well it plays out when we get there. We also know right now that there will be two new dungeons here when we get started.

Mount Hyjal
Mount Hyjal has already been hinted at through the Caverns of Time instance and throughout Warcraft III, so this is another zone we are well aware of, but have not yet gotten to see completely. So, it will be interesting to see how it plays out.

In Cataclysm, Mount Hyjal is going to be where Ragnaros returns and lays siege on the World Tree. It is also where Malfurion Stormrage will make his first appearance, returning from the Emerald Dream to command the Cenarius armies against this big bad boss. Zones nearby include Ashenvale, Felwood, and Winterspring, and the content will include a raid called Firelands to face off against Ragnaros.

The Sunken City of Vash’jir

The most controversial new zone in Cataclysm has to be the Sunken City, largely because everyone is leery of how underwater fighting will work out. If you’ve ever dived for clams, you know how much of a pain this can be so it will be interesting to see how Blizzard handles the effect.

This particular zone will be located just south of the Maelstrom and will the former home of Lady Vash’jir, before the Sundering occurred. The physics are said to be relatively normal in which players on the ground and not swimming will fight like normal and will then have to handle the fight more actively when they start swimming. There will also be special underwater mounts for this zone. The instance content here will take place in the Abyssal Maw.

Twilight Highlands

The Twilight Highlands are another new addition to the game and will be home to Grim Batol, as well as the new location for the Twilight Cult and the location for the final fight against Deathwing.

There will be boats here for both Horde and Alliance players as well as the Red Dragonflight to go along with the heavy Black Dragonflight presence and the Twilight Dragonflight. Grim Batol will be both a 5 man instance and a raid here.

New Dungeons
In all, there will be 8 new 5 man instances added to the game in Cataclysm along with two revamps of old 5 man instances in the form of Deadmines and Shadowfang Keep. The raid content has not all be announced yet, beyond what you just read above, but we’re working on digging up where they’ll be.

  • Grim Batol: Level 85.

  • Skywall: Level 80‐82.

  • Abyssal Maw: Two Instances – Level 80‐83 and Level 82‐84.

  • Deepholm: Level 80‐83.

  • Uldum: Two Instances – Level 83‐84 and Level 85

  • Blackrock Caverns

  • Shadowfang Keep

  • The Deadmines

As you can see, some of the content is being added to existing dungeons with Blackrock Caverns being a new wing in the old instance and the last two being 80 man versions of the same content from early in the game.

Arctic Down - Heavy Borean Up

The current PTR is showing an interesting change which could effect the prices of Arctic Fur and Heavy Borean Leather alot.

At present Arctic furs can sell for 75 - 125 gold (server dependant) although obviously sometimes can be less/more. This price could well drop dramatically when 3.3 comes out so it is advisable to sell off stock piles sooner rather than later.

Additionally the already highly priced Heavy Borean Leathers may be going up in price to meet the arctic price drop in the middle and as such, a good investment.

Either way it's probably best you're all aware of this change as there is money to be made.

Easy Arathi Basin Assassin Achievement

[Arathi Basin Assassin] requires you to kill 5 players at each base. As of the new "Isle of Conquest" patch, they increased the max view distance.

Put your view distance to max, and stand here:

Stand there in stealth, or otherwise just stay alive.

You will get [Arathi Basin Assassin] within a few minutes.

World of Warcraft Mining Power leveling guide.

Mining has always been the most profitable starting profession in World of warcraft for a few reasons. First, two different production professions need the materials from mining (it is now three with the addition of Jewelcrafting to the game).

To train in mining, you can generally find a trainer near your starting location. Most races have a mining trainer in the first small town they encounter after they leave their starting location; for those that don’t you can access one in your nearest city, which you should be safe to walk to right away (though you can be 100% safe if you are Level 5 or above).

Once you have trained your Apprentice Mining skills for 10c, you need to buy a mining pick, which should also be relatively cheap. In this World of Warcraft Mining Power leveling guide I also recommend you buy a new bag if you do not yet have a second one. Mining materials are hefty and can quickly fill up your main bag, making it hard to grind on mobs as well.

Basic Information
Use the following information as a basis for your decision whether to choose Mining as your primary profession. Additional money making tips for this profession are available below as well.
Recommended Profession to Pair With:
  • Blacksmithing (for materials)
  • Jewelcrafting (for materials)
  • Engineering (for materials)
  • Skinning (for gold)
With the exception of Skinning, all of the above professions require materials that you gather through mining. Pairing them will save you gold and time.

Early Nodes
The earliest nodes you have access to are Copper and Tin and will be readily available in all starting zones, usually up to Level 15 or 16. You will have a tracking option to find these nodes on, so simply turn it on and start looking for your copper. For the most part, there are no specific instances where you can find Copper and Tin in close proximity, though they are generally located throughout the starting areas. Your goal now is just to level up your skill and store away as much ore as possible.

What to Do with Your Ore
Early on in this World of Warcraft Mining Power leveling guide , you might assume your ore is worthless and can just go to a vendor. Think again – everything you gather from the ground as a miner can be sold in the Auction House for a massive profit. Stacks of Copper Ore alone can be sold for 2 - 3 gold a stack. At level 5 this is an incredible boon and can be quite profitable before you reach Journeyman and can start mining other materials like Iron.

Whenever you return to town, mail all of your mining spoils to your alt in the city and store it in a bank until you are ready to sell it in the Auction House. There isn’t too much risk of over saturating the market with mining ore, but still try not to sell all of your ore at once.

Mining Ore Locations for Maximum Profits
After you reach Journeyman, your options start to increase and you will need to start specifically farming for ore when you go out. You can still look for ore whenever you are completing quests and grinding, but eventually to level up your skills, you will need to spend a bit of time looking only for ore. In all, there are about a dozen different ores in the game that you can choose to mine. After you have reached journeyman and can mine copper, tin, silver, iron, and gold, you can head to Arathi Highlands, where you will be able to find many Iron deposits, as well as a few Mithrils scattered throughout the area. Drywhisker Cave in the Northeast portion of the zone is a great place to stop and look around as well as you will find plenty of Lesser Bloodstone in addition to standard nodes. The bloodstone can be sold at auction as it is a popular quest item in Booty Bay.

Another valuable quest ore is Incendicite Ore, located in the Wetlands, just North of Dun Algaz. This can be sold for a solid profit in the Auction House as well, provided you can find people who need it right away in world of warcraft.

When you gain access to Mithril and Truesilver, the best locations are going to be in the Blasted Lands, Searing Gorge, and Tanaris. You can also make a good run through the Charred Vale of Stonetalon Mountains for Truesilver, Gold, and Mithril.

When you reach Mining skill 250 though, you can start getting into the real money makers with ore like Thorium. Thorium sells for about 10 gold per stack to start, but you will also occasionally find Arcane Crystals mixed in with the vein which sell for a solid 15 gold a piece in the Auction House. To find Thorium, you should head to Winterspring or Burning Steppes where it is located in good plenty. They will often be quite populated but if you know where to look (there is also another good spot in Un’Goro Crater), you can make 60 gold an hour in addition to grinding money you might make from killing mobs in these zones.

Finally, when you reach Outland, you will have access to Fel Iron, Adamantite and Khorium Ore, all of which sell extremely well in the Auction House. In Northrend, the same can be said for all three irons you will find there – Cobalt, Saronite and Titanium. You will have the easiest time finding Saronite and its value will thus be a bit skewed for the higher supply but with so many Death Knights seeking Saronite gear, it has been a valuable commodity thus far.

Speed Leveling Mining from 1 - 450
The first step, as mentioned above in this World of Warcraft Mining Power leveling guide is to train as an Apprentice Miner and then to pick up youer mining pick and head out into the world. The first few skill levels will be relatively monotonous, so be prepared for doing the same thing repetitively.

Level 1 - 65
Your first ore will be Copper. Start mining copper in the following locations, depending on your faction and race:
  • Horde: Dorotar, Mulgore, and Trisfal Glades
  • Alliance: Elwynn Forest and Darkshore
There are other locations to find Copper Ore as well, as any of the starting areas will likely have it, but these are the best locations. You may also find plenty of copper veins in Dun Morogh or Loch Modan as well.

Level 65 - 125
As soon as you reach Level 65 or so, it will become much harder to level up your mining skill on Copper. Learn to mine Tin when you reach Level 65 and start mining it. When you reach Level 75 from mining Tin in the same starting locations you were mining Copper, return to your nearest Mining Trainer and become a Journeyman Miner and learn how to mine Silver. For both factions, the best zones for mining Silver are the Barrens and Thousand Needles.

Level 125 - 175
At Level 125, return to your trainer and learn to mine Iron. Start mining Iron veins in Desolace, the Badlands, and Arathi Highlands at this point until you reach Level 150. At Level 150, train to become an Expert Miner and when you reach Level 155, train to mine Gold. Return to the above mentioned zones and continue mining Iron and Gold until you reach Level 175.

Level 175 - 250
At Level 175, train to mine Mithril and when you reach level 200, train to mine Truesilver. Now, travel to Searing Gorge, Azshara, and Tanaris and start mining Mithril, then Truesilver when you reach the requisite level to do so. You will reach Level 225 in this time period and should find the nearest mining trainer and train to become an Artisan Miner.

Level 250 - 300
Between Levels 250 and 300, you will notice just how much the leveling process has become as you are presented with two new ores and a whole lot of zones to mine. Before proceeding return to your mining trainer and learn how to mine both Thorium and Dark Iron.

Now travel to Un’Goro Crater, The Burning Steppes and the Eastern and Western Plaguelands to start mining for these two new ores as well as Mithril. Here is a break down of what you can expect to find in each zone:
  • Thorium – Un’Goro Crater, Burning Steppes, Eastern and Western Plaguelands
  • Mithril – Burning Steppes, Eastern and Western Plaguelands
  • Dark Iron – Burning Steppes
As you can see, the Burning Steppes has the most diverse collection of mining nodes; however, keep in mind that the competition is much higher here as well.

Level 300 - 325
You are now ready to start mining in Outland and should visit your master mining trainer. The Horde trainer will be in Thrallmar and the Alliance trainer in Honor Hold. Become a Master Miner and learn how to mine Fel Iron. You will find Fel Iron throughout both Hellfire Peninsula and Zangarmarsh (more in the former though). Continue to mine this ore until you reach Level 325.

Level 325 - 365
You cannot train to mine Adamantite until you reach Level 330, so continue to mine Fel Iron in Nagrand until this point. When you reach Level 330, start mining Adamantite (and any Fel Iron deposits you find) until you reach Level 365. You can find many of these veins in Nagrand and a small amount in Blade’s Edge Mountains.

Level 365 - 375
You can train your last ore when you hit Level 350, but will not want to start mining it until your each Level 365 and can ensure success every time. When you do reach Level 365, go to Blade’s Edge Mountains (there are some in Nagrand as well) and mine for Rich Adamantite and Khorium until you reach Level 375.

Following these steps in this World of Warcraft Mining Power leveling guide , you can reach Level 375 as fast as possible. Keep in mind that mining can be a slow grind to the top because you must hunt down each node and hope there are no other players farming the same spots. If there are other players, make sure to be polite and patient, not fighting with them to take their nodes. Roll for it or help each other mine further.

Level 375 – 450
When you reach Northrend, you will immediately be able to find some Cobalt nodes in the two starting zones. They are generally even though Howling Fjord has a few more known node locations than Borean Tundra. Solid locations cinlude the northern areas of Howling Fjord where Gjalerbron is located and all along the two peninsulas in the south. Mine Cobalt until you reach level 400 and can start mining Saronite in earnest.

Saronite is one of those ores that is everywhere. You are going to find hundreds upon hundreds of nodes for this one in Sholazar, Icecrown, and Storm Peaks and while competition is high, it should be relatively easy to pick some up. Simply circle Sholazar and you’ll get enough in two or three runs to get you to level 425 when you can start mining Titanium. However, continue mining this one until you reach 440.

In the last 10 levels or so, you will need to go seek out Titanium in Icecrown and Sholzar Basin. It will allow you to make a great deal more gold than you would have normally but more importantly it will allow you to max out your mining skill – plus these nodes will drop all sorts of rare gems that are incredibly valuable (as well as four different crystallized elements).

Infinitely Repeatable WG Weekly: "Slay them all!"

prerequisites: you MUST have the quest available (in other words, the NPC in wintergrasp must have the "!" over his head)

  1. Do 25 dailies, you must have all 25 dailies complete for this to work, but ***DO NOT DO ANY WINTERGRASP QUESTS****
  2. Fly to wintergrasp and relog or join a raid group and zone into VOA (or any instance if you don't control WG) then zone back out.
  3. Pick up the quest "Slay them all!" that asks you to kill 10 opposite faction players or NPCs.
  4. Finish the quest by killing 10 of the guards around wintergrasp and turn in the quest.
  5. Re-log or enter VOA (or any instance)again, then zone back out and voila! you should be able to pick up the "Slay them all!" quest again!

As long as you do NOT switch toons, exit the game completely for any extended period of time, complete a different quest, or switch raid groups you should be able to repeat this quest as many times as you like until the dailies reset overnight.

remember to logout and back in or zone into VOA (or any instance if you do not control WG) after each turn in or you wont be able topick up the quest again.

FYI this quest yields gold, 3000+ honor and 10 stone keeper shards per turn in.

World of Warcraft Skinning Power leveling guide.

Skinning is a popular gathering profession in World of Warcraft as it provides plenty of opportunities to make gold while grinding off of mobs – you can combine the best of two worlds and double your income in some cases.

To get started in Skinning, you must first find a trainer – they can usually be located in and around the area you start. After training in Skinning for 10 copper, you need to buy a skinning knife and then you can start skinning lower level mobs for their hides.

Essentially, you will be killing mobs the same as you always have but now, after you have killed and looted them, a small skin symbol will appear over their corpse if they are skinnable. For the most part, only beasts are skinnable, with the exception of the occasional humanoid beast such as Yetis and Furlbog. If it has a fur or leathery skink you can almost guarantee it is skinnable.

One of the best ways to level up your skinning skill quickly without having to kill every mob yourself is to visit a region where quests are being performed. When people have to kill mobs for a quest (Kill 10 of these and return), they will often leave the bodies, especially if they are not skinners. You can then swoop in and skin the hides they leave behind, leveling up your skill faster without having to spend time looking for mobs to kill.

Basic Information
Use the following information as a basis for your decision whether to choose Skinning as your primary profession in World of Warcraft. Additional money making tips for this profession are available below as well.

Recommended Profession to Pair With:
  • Leatherworking (for materials)
  • Mining (for gold)
  • Herbalism (for gold)
Skinning is generally observed as a gold making profession because of how much gold making potential there is in the ability to skin the mobs you are already killing. However, even if you are not interested in making gold, skinning is a must have for anyone with Leatherworking as a primary production profession.

Getting Started
In the early portions of the game, there are many different mobs you can skin that other people will leave laying around. Probably the best example of this is in Stranglethorn Vale where the Expedition camp gives out more than 12 different such quests. You can find tigers, panthers and raptors laying everywhere, waiting to be skinned by you.
Another valuable target when starting out is Turtles. A prime location to find and skin turtles is near Theramore. Just outside the city, across the bridge and near the coast, you will find turtles that respawn very quickly. Another good location is near Steamwheedle Port in Tanaris where turtles freely roam the coastline.

Another valuable target for early level skinners is Yetis, such as those located near Southshore near the Alterac Mountains. There is a solid cave located just north of Southshore where many Yetis are located.

In Outland
When you reach Outland in World of Warcraft, you can start making solid gold by grinding Helboars in Helfire Peninsula. These mobs are usually located alone and there are multiple quests requiring players to kill them, so you may find plenty of the mobs just waiting to be skinned as well. They are also solid grinding mobs if you are behind on XP or if you need a bit of gold to go with your skinning.

Nagrand is the Stranglethorn Vale of Outland, providing the same kind of big game hunting with 9 different hunting quests, each requiring 30 kills – there are hundreds of mobs in this region to kill and plenty of gold to be made in the process.

It is hard to give specific advice for skinners in this World of Warcraft guide. There are too many different mobs to choose from and too many locations to go. However, if you see mobs in an area that are skinnable and drop solid loot, you can bet the area is ripe for grinding.

In Northrend
When you reach Northrend ni World of Warcraft, you will once again have a whole new set of mobs to hunt down for their skins. When you first get started, there are a few good spots to farm from and make solid profits. The pit outside of Warsong Hold in the Borean Tundra dnt he boar farm near here are both great spots to look. Also, you can find worgs in the southwest corner of Howling Fjord that are good for farming on right away. Azjol Nerub in Dragonblight will be one of your best friends as well when you start skinning there.

For the most part, you will find the first three zones very useful for skinning. After that, you will want to get to Grizzly Hills and especially Sholazar Basin (where you will finish leveling to 450 later on). In general Northrend is a great place to skin, but the competition will be fiercer in some places than others, so be ready for a burst in the number of people around at any given time.

Power Leveling Skinning from 1 - 450
After training as an Apprentice skinner from your starting location’s skinning trainer and buying your skinning knife, it is time to start leveling up your early skinning skills. The early levels will obviously vary between factions and classes. Follow the below information to get going.

Level 1 - 180 (Alliance)
Skin Crag Boars and Wendigos in Dun Morogh until you reach skill Level 25. After you have reached level 25, it is best to swith can start skinning Wolves in Dun Morogh until you reach skill Level 50. After this, you will need to travel to Westfall and start focusing your skinning on Goretusks. This will last until you are level 100 in this world of warcraft skinning guide, but you should ensure you return to your skill trainer to level up your skinning ability to Journeyman as soon as your each Level 75 as there will be mobs very soon that require you to be at least journeyman.

After you reach Level 100, travel Northe to the Wetlands and focus your efforts on Crocolisks and Mottled Raptors until you reach Level 130. Next, travel to Hillsbrad Foothills and start skinning Starving Mountain Lions and Gray Bears until you reach Level 150.

At Level 150, return to a skinning trainer and level up to an Expert Skinner. Now that you are an expert skinner, remain in Hillsbrad Foothills and kill both Cave and Ferocious Yetis until you reach Level 170. To finish up Alliance only leveling, travel East to the Arathi Highlands and skin Raptors until your each Level 180.

Level 1 - 180 (Horde)
For Horde players, start in Durotar and focus on skinning Boars and Scorpids in the Southern part of the zone until you reach Level 25. When you reach Level 25, travel North in the zone and start skinning Elder Mottled Boars until you are skill Level 50.

Travel next to the Barrens and focus your energies around the Crossroads area and skin Plainstriders and Prowlers. You will remain here until you reach Level 100, but remember to return to your trainer at Level 75 to train as a Journeyman Skinner for this World of Warcraft skinning guide.

Travel to Camp Taurajo and start skinning Stormsnouts and Thunderhawks until you reach level 130 and then go to Thousand Needles and skin all of the following until you reach Level 170:
  • Thunderhawks
  • Lions
  • Hyenas
  • Wyverns
Make sure to return to your skinning trainer when you reach skill Level 150 and train to be an Expert Skinner before continuing as well.

Finally, before completing the Horde only skinning zones, skin Basilsks and Turtles in the Shimmering Flats until you reach skill Level 180.

Level 180 - 250
At skill Level 180, travel to Stranglethorn Vale; you will spend the better part of the next 75 skill levels training here, so become familiar with the area. Start by skinning the lower level Panthers, Raptors, and Tigers in the Northern part of the zone near the Expedition Camp.

When you reach level 220, start skinning Gorillas and Raptors in the southern part of the region. Make sure to stop at Level 225 and train as an Artisan Skinner and then continue skinning here until you reach skill Level 250.

Level 250 - 300
Travel to Azshara and start skinning Hippogryphs and Stags until you reach skill Level 270. Remain in this zone but travel to where the Turtles and Chimeras are located and start skinning them until your each skill Level 300. When you reach Level 300, travel to Outland.

Level 300 - 375
Train your Master Skinner ability with the Horde trainer in Thrallmar and the Alliance trainer in Honor Hold and then proceed to start skinning Helboars in Hellfire Peninsula until you reach Level 310.

Similar to Stranglethorn Vale, you will spend a lot of time in Nagrand now, skinning the beasts being hunted by Nesingway. Focus your efforts on the Clefthoofs and Talbuks in Nagrand now until you reach skill Level 350. I recommend focusing on the lower level mobs here (neutral with no aggro) as they are closer together and can get you to 335 without a problem. After 335 or 340, focus on the Talbuk Thorngrazers and Clefthoof Bulls to get you to 350.
Finally, when you reach skill Level 350, travel to Netherstorm and start skinning Netherdragons until you reach skill Level 375.

Skinning is unique in World of Warcraft because there are so many mobs you can focus your attentions on. This list makes it possible to skin the highest possible level as early as possible while also finding areas with mobs that other characters may have already killed and left the corpses of. If you can find unskinned corpses that you don’t have to kill, you can cut your leveling time down by a substantial amount very early on.

Level 375 – 450
After training your Grand Master skinning abilities, you can start farming for skins in either starting location. As mentioned above, you will find a great deal of good mob hotspots in both starting zones. If you are Horde though, it is almost required to go to Borean Tundra and sit outside Warsong Hold to get your skins from the huge number of mobs there. Alliance characters will have a better time of things in Howling Fjord on those aforementioned Worgs.

You should be able to get to skill level 400 in the starting zones before heading off to Dragonblight. In Dragonblight, you will find hundreds of Azjol Nerub spider mobs as well as the occasional drake and whelp to skin. In this zone, you should be able to reach level 415 or 420 before heading off to Grizzly Hills, another great location to skin.

Grizzly Hills is a bit of a shame because it should be one of the best locations to skin, but most people are already at leve 420 or so when they get here and Sholazar Basin is even better for those final few levels, so get what you need here to reach Level 425 and then head to Sholazar Basin where you will find everything from Rhinos to Crocolisks ready to be skinned. If you get stalled here (the last five or so levels can be tough in this zone), head to Stormpeaks and skin a few of the mobs here to max out your skills to 450.

Guide for the title "the insane"

First of all, a list of what you have to do:

Honored with Bloodsail Buccaneers (Honored)
Exalted with Everlook (Exalted)
Exalted with Ratchet (Exalted)
Exalted with Ravenholdt (Exalted)
Exalted with Booty Bay (Exalted)
Exalted with Gadgetzan (Exalted)
Exalted with Darkmoon Faire (Exalted
Exalted with Shen'dralar (Exalted)

In former times it seems as if you need to be exalted woth the Steamwheedle cartell while being honored with the Bloodsail Buccaneers. This is no longer the case
You can do this in two ways: Over a longer period of time like I did ( about 3 months) or very fast. When you do it slow, you can earn very good money, if you do it fast you will need a great amount to buy all the things you need. I'
ll describe the slow way.

Check the Auction House whenever you can for those things:

Pristine Black Diamond
Libram of Focus
Libram of Protection
Libram of Rapidity

and every Darkmoon Deck that is kind of cheap.
Set a maximum price for yourself for those Items and buy them whenever they are cheaper or at this price

By the time I started with the Achievement, I was revered and honored with the Steamwheedle fractions so I decided to push them to exalted first. If you are a perfectionist and want to have them on exalted while being honored (or higher) with the Bloodsails, start with the pirates first.

Steamwheedle Cartel

As I've said before, I started with them, but you don't have to. There are two ways of farming them to exalted.

The first way is to do Dire Maul runs (North) to get the Goblin Skackle Key. This key drops randomly from all Ogers. Sometimes you'll have luck and it drops from the first Mob, sometimes you'll clear the whole Instance and non drops it. If you get it, run to the Goblin and complete the Quest Free Knot!. This will reward you with 350 reputation for the whole Cartell.

Sometimes you'll have luck and one of those Librams will drop. You have two options then: Firstly, you have the Mats for the Librams all the time with you ( I will list them later on) and instantly turn it in or you just teleport out of the Instance and put it on a Guild Bank (you can deposit there as much as you want, regardless of the "unique" or you send it to an Alt.

Depending on when the Libram drops I recommend the porting. As I've said, I did it slow, so I used this teleporting to sell all the stuff I've collected, put Runecloth in the AH etc. Also, doing this is kind of dull. Teleporting out and taking a break is always nice. But I know many that just farmed the Libramstuff before and just took it with them to turn them in. You have to decide.
If you want, you can also do a second quest: The Gordok Ogre Suit
At the first time It'll give 250 rep, after that 75 every turn in. I recommend doing this at least one time for the great rep, after that it depends.

Do not forget to loot the little Crate that Knot spawns if you free him! There you can find the leather needed for this quest and other nice things you can sell on the AH. Sometimes even nice epic recipes! They still sell on the AH for nice money!

The second way: Farming Mobs, for example the Pirates unter Ratchet. This way is slightly faster, but you'll get no Librams or Pristine Black Diamonds while farming there, so I don't recommend that.

Ravenholdt

For this, you need an Rogue alt, a good friend that plays a rogue or LOTS of money.
I, for one, leveled a Rogue for this, you only need about lvl 56.

But first things first. You start at neutral with them and there is only one way to get them to exalted.

Start off grinding the Mobs at Durnholde. They give 5 rep per mob and you can do this until 11999/12000 Honored. After that you need a Rogue to pickpocket Heavy Junkboxes for you.
If you have a lvl 80 rogue you can go to LBRS and just farm the hell out of the mobs. Just stealth around and pickpocket everything. You will need 1400 of them. If you do it like me, lvl until 56, then go to the Eastern Plaguelands and farm in Tyrs Hand. It's most of the time empty there and you can get up to 55 boxes /h.

Also, a little tip:Open the boxes and loot everything but ONE thing, for example the Poisons that are often in there. It doesn't matter for the NPC if the box is open or if there is no money in there. Just one thing must be inside! I even found an epic dagger one time in there, so it can really be worth it!

Shen'dralar
For this, you'll need much luck and money. You start at neutral. If you haven't alreaedy done the quests for this faction, do them!

Pussilin
The second Quest is a classquest from a Item that drops in Diremaul. You should find at least one while doing your "Free Knot" runs.

If you're Alliance, you also have to do this Quest:Elven Legends as a Horde this one: Elven Legends. Every "new" Char has to do that. Without this Quest you can't turn in the Librams.

After this, you have do turn in about 84 of the Librams. I will list the Items you need for the Librams, but since they only drop in Dire Maul, you can only hope that there are many in the AH or farm them.

Libram of Protection:
2 Large Brilliant Shard
1 Pristine Black Diamond
1 Frayed Abomination Stitching
Those Stitchings drop in Stratholme from the Abominations. Easy to farm.

Libram of Focus
1 Pristine Black Diamond
4 Large Brilliant Shard
2 Skin of Shadow
Farmable in Scholomance. I hated it!

Libram of Rapidity
1 Pristine Black Diamond
2 Large Brilliant Shard
2 Blood of Heroes

Happy farming. This faction really sucks

Darkmoon Faire

Since you've raiding the AH whenever possible, you should have a decent amount of Decks.
A Epic deck (regardless of the lvl, it can be a lvl 60 Deck) rewards 350 rep per turn in. I recommend them. Buy them cheap, resell them for profit! I made SO much money with that, I bought every deck up to 250g and resold them for 300- 500g ! But that method needs time and patience.

A rare and green Deck rewards 25 rep per turn in. Sell these things too! Not everyone lvls with Items you can buy for Emblems, so you can at least get a decent amount of the gold you've spent back.

If you are a inscriptionist: Lucky you! Just farm your ass off.
But before you turn in Decks, I recommend turning in one of those many Items,, for example Thorium Widgets or Armor Kits. There are many more, just look what is the easiest to get for you. You can get rep until the halfway of friendly, after that you NEED the Decks.

Bloodsail Buccaneers

This is the easiest one. Just go to Booty Bay and kill everything. RAMPAGE. With a group of a few persons, this is easy doable in a few hours.

I hope you like my guide, if I forgot something just say it and I'll add it. Also, remember: You don't need to do it in this order, its just the order in which I did it.

Cut Your Latency in HALF

I have a few friends in my guild who live in Aussie land and always are complaining and fighting with the latency gods. They are always trying new things like Smoothping.com and other services, but recently found Leatrix's Latency Fix and spoke very highly of it. They reported going from 300 or so ping down to ~120.

Living stateside lag has never been a major problem, but recently i have been having some disconnect issues in HToC and averaging anywhere from 200-250ms. So I decided to give it a shot and was really impressed with the results. My disconnects went down and my ping is down to 75-100ms.

This addon/script implements the TCPAck fix. I saw another post with a guide to go into you registry and do it manually, but saw some complaints about it being alot of work. I also read that this was something that had been patched in 2.3.2, but this doesn't seem to be the case. Here is a quote from the developer's FAQ.

Quote:
Didn't Blizzard disable this already?
This is a common misconception but the answer is no. What Blizzard did was disable nagling, way back in patch 2.3.2.

Nagling bundles small packets together into larger ones for more efficient transmission. The effects are similar - bundling packets together always produces higher latency which is why it's bad for online games. Blizzard disabled nagling because of this, however, the acknowledgement queueing system used by the TCP protocol remains.

For the technically minded, Blizzard made the TCPNoDelay function redundant, as Wow now includes it by default. They didn't change TcpAckFrequency. Leatrix Latency Fix changes that.

I was a bit sketched out about executing .VBS scripts, but everything is "open source" and you can open the files in a text editor to see for yourself. Also the developer links to endorsements from Tankspot.com( PVP How To: Improve Your Arena Ratings - TankSpot) and others. Also included is an "undo" script.

Also note this improves your latency in all other online games you play, and works on Windows XP(SP2 and later), VISTA(SP1 and later), and Win7. This unfortunately does not work for Macs, but on the addon's page he gives a simple command to run at mac prompt to make the same change. Below is the Mac equivalent

Quote:
Is there a Macintosh version?
Leatrix Latency Fix isn't supported on Macs. However, you can achieve lower latency in OSX by entering the following command in a terminal window. This will disable delayed acknowledgements until you restart your computer.

sudo sysctl -w net.inet.tcp.delayed_ack=0

To disable them permanently, create a text file under "/etc/" called "sysctl.conf" and copy/paste the following line then restart your computer.

net.inet.tcp.delayed_ack=0

To set things back to default, just delete the "sysctl.conf" file and restart your computer.
