First Aid Powerleveling guide

First Aid is a secondary skill in World of Warcraft that can help reduce your downtime by providing instance healing bandages from cloth. If you are vendoring cloth, you can increase its value by making it into bandages first and you can usually sell bandages to other players for a solid profit. You will need the First Aid books that are provided by vendors throughout the game to learn all of the skills. You can find these books in the following locations.

Basic Information
Use the following information as a basis for your decision whether to choose First Aid as a secondary profession. Generally, First Aid is not considered a solid gold making profession, as it is used to support your own healing. The only real way it is helpful in gold making is if you do not feel like going to the Auction House to sell your cloth; you can then upgrade cloths to bandages and make a better profit from Vendors.

Leveling Up First Aid from 1 - 450
Leveling up First Aid is a fairly straightforward process. After training as a First Aid Apprentice, take note of the materials you will need. If you are going to be training when you are already leveled up or if you have some gold, buy these items before hand from the Auction house and have them on hand. Also, keep in mind these are minimum values; occasionally, the numbers don’t work out quite the same, so you will need to buy a few more. Be aware when this happens.

  • 120 – Linen Cloth
  • 105 – Wool Cloth
  • 90 – Silk Cloth
  • 70 – Mageweave Cloth
  • 110 – Runecloth
  • 60 – Netherweave Cloth
  • 250 – Frostweave Cloth
Level 1 - 75
To start, create linen bandages until you reach Level 40. When you have reached Level 40, train with your skill trainer to make Heavey Linen Bandages and continue making Heavy Linen Bandages until you reach Level 75. You should be able to level up with each bandage you make if you switch over at Level 40 exactly.

Level 75 - 100
Train your Journeyman First Aid skill at Level 75 and then proceed to make Heavy Linen Bandages until you reach Level 80. From here, learn how to make Wool Bandages and start making Wool Bandages until you reach Level 115. Level up your abilities again to learn how to make Heavy Wool Bandages and make these until you are skill Level 150. This should take you through all of your remaining linen and cloth bandages.

Level 150 - 225
Before you continue, stop and buy the following manuals:
You can find the Expert First Aid Manual with your Expert trainer and the other two manuals with the following vendors:

After getting all of the necessary abilities you need, start making Silk Bandages until you reach skill Level 180. From here, make Heavy Silk Bandages until you reach skill Level 210 and then proceed to make Mageweave Bandages until you reach skill Level 225. You will need to read the manuals and learn the skills when you reach the associated skill Level for that particular manual.

Level 225 - 300
To become Artisan in First Aid, you must complete a quest. For the quest, you will need to have at least 80 Mageweave Cloth and 75 Runecloth on you. Here are the steps for the quest you need to complete:

Horde – Talk to Arnok in Ogrimmar. Then Talk to Doctor Gregory Victor in Hammerfall and accept Triage
Alliance – Talk to Nissa Firestone in Ironforge. Then Talk to Doctor Gustaf VanHowzen in Theramore and accept Triage.

To complete the quest, heal the solders with the bandages given to you by the doctor. Make sure to heal them in the order of Critically Injured, Badly Injured, and then Injured. Do it very quickly and make sure you can target all of them at once. It might take a couple of run throughs to make things work properly, but when you get it, it should be pretty easy. Now, stay in these cities for now as you will want to be here until you are Level 290 in First Aid ( you need the skill trainer again).

Make Mageweave Bandages until you reach skill Level 240, then learn how to make Heavy Mageweave Bandages from the Doctor and make these until you are skill Level 260. Learn how to make Runecloth Bandages from the Doctor and make these until you are skill Level 290. Finally, learn how to make Heavy Runecloth Bandages from the Doctor and level up until you are skill Level 300.

Level 300 - 375
You will need to buy the following books to learn your First Aid skills in Outland:
You can buy your manuals from:

Read the Master First Aid manual and start making Heavy Runecloth Bandages until you reach skill Level 330.

Now, read the Netherweave Bandage Manual and level up your skill to 360 with these. Finally, read the Heavy Netherweave Bandage Manual and make these until you reach skill Level 375. You should now be completely leveled up as quickly as possible in First Aid.

Level 375 – 450
After training as a Grand master, learn how to make Frostweave Bandage and start making them until you get to level 400. Now, you will need to go and find the Manual:Heavy Frostweave Bandage. This is going to be a random drop off of mobs in Zul’Drak. You can find a good drop rate around 33,80 or if you really need it, you can pony up for it at the Auction House. After you have learned this, make heavy frostweave bandages until you reach level 450.
